PS 185 Gala
The Gala is the biggest fundraiser for PS 185! The money raised goes back into the school to support various educational programs, school improvements, and student activities.
Holiday Express
The Holiday Express is our version of the Polar Express with a cultural twist. The event celebrates many cultures and traditions within our community.
The Holiday Express will take place during school hours. We seek parent volunteers to represent and share their knowledge about various winter holidays. Please get in touch with the DEI Committee to become a volunteer by Friday, Dec 13th.
If you do not have a specific holiday you’d like to represent but would still like to volunteer, we are also looking for a few volunteers to help usher the students from booth to booth to keep things organized.

Halloween Dance
Students will dance with a DJ , parade their costumes, walk over to the pumpkin patch and receive a bag with a craft that they can do in their classrooms or at home.

This 5th Grade Graduation Fundraiser takes place during lunchtime for all grades once a month. Children can purchase some yummy snacks or fun swag! Thank you for your generosity and support!

Fall Picture Day
Order forms were placed in your student’s take-home folder. Additional paper forms may be found on the main floor at the information desk and in the main office.
Please note the following:
Individual photos will be taken of children who bring a completed form and full payment.
All students will be photographed in a class photo, which may be purchased with a package.
If you would like to purchase a photo package of your child, please fill out the order form and send in payment on picture day, October 16th.

Outdoor Movie Night
Admission is FREE for PS185 Families!
Bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs to Shore Road. (The movie will begin at 7:30 PM.)
SNACK BOXES MUST BE PURCHASED BY 9/17 — THEY WILL NOT BE SOLD AT THE EVENT!
Movie night boxes will be available for PRESALE ONLY!
$10.00 per box. CASH or CHEDDAR UP!
Please send in the order forms by Wednesday, 9/17.
Boxes will include a candy bar, popcorn, juice box and water, glowsticks, and fruit snacks!
Boxes will be distributed on 9/20 at Shore Road Park.

Join us for the first-ever 185's Got Talent show! This event is free. There will be two shows:

$15 per ticket. Payment is due May 21.
Students received a paper form in their boomerang folder. Families can also download a soft copy below. Please fill out, tear off, and return the order form to PTA c/o Main Office. Tickets will be received 7-10 days before the game date.

PS 185 will celebrate the various backgrounds of our families with a Cultural Street Fair. Parent- and student-led interactive “booths” will showcase their families’ cultural origins. Featuring:

Performance by Freedom Dabka Group
Origami and Cultural Crafts
Face Painting Booths
Henna Booths
Community Services and Cultural Booths
