Parent teacher association!

All parents, guardians, and teachers of students at PS 185 are automatically members of the Parent Teacher Association. Membership is free and does not require joining or paying dues.

Our Mission

The PS 185 Parent Teacher Association (PTA) seeks to promote and encourage a healthy, inclusive and academically-rich school environment for all the children at PS 185. Our goals are:

To foster parental involvement within the school community.
To bolster academic and enrichment programming through fundraising and initiatives.
To bridge communication between families, teachers and the school’s administration.
To create community through school-wide events.
To be an accessible and approachable PTA Executive Board who provides support and resources for parents and teachers.
